Beaumanoir selects Cegid's unified commerce platform

Retail software vendor, Cegid, has announced that Beaumanoir, one of France’s leading family-owned fashion retail enterprises, has chosen its cloud-based unified commerce platform to equip the recently acquired apparel retail chain, La Halle, with some of the latest omni-channel and point-of-sale technologies. Cegid provides business management solutions.
Using the same systems and processes will enable La Halle to benefit from some of the synergies shared by other brands of the Beaumanoir.
“We’ve been working with Cegid for over twenty years and this partnership has played a key role in supporting our growth both in France and internationally. As retail has become omnichannel, Cegid’s retail solution is at the heart of our buying, selling, supply chain and CRM, and we believe the platform will accelerate the re-launch of La Halle and the transition into the digital age of all the brands within the group,” Benjamin Amice, managing director of the Beaumanoir said.
The Cegid solution has already been deployed in over 2,800 stores in 40 countries to manage sales, customers and inventory. The group has also armed 900 store associates with mobile devices to improve customer service, cut down on waiting-times and improve efficiency. La Halle’s IT rollout kicked-off in July, at a rate of 25 to 30 stores a day, to reach a total of 339 stores.
“For many years, we’ve been working hand-in-hand with Cegid on numerous technology projects to deliver a unified shopping journey across shopping channels, whether via e-commerce, mobile or physical stores. Retailer’s IT systems need to be able to adapt to these changes and continually meet the expectations of our consumers and employees. The technology must support the business, making change easier and quicker,” Jean-Philippe Serre, IT director for the Beaumanoir said.
