Lectra, the world leader in integrated technology solutions dedicated to industries using soft materials -- textiles, leather, industrial fabrics, and composite materials --, will serve as the title sponsor for Apparel Magazine's 5th annual Excellence in Sourcing Summit, as part of Sourcing at MAGIC, North America's largest sourcing event.

Apparel's Sourcing Summit, an official program of Sourcing at MAGIC, held August 22nd at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will feature the exclusive presentation results of Apparel's 5th Annual Excellence in Sourcing Study produced by Apparel and Kurt Salmon Associates (KSA). The event will also include an expert panel of sourcing executives and conclude with a networking reception. Sourcing at MAGIC (August 21-24) is the preeminent international business platform offering one-stop shopping for the entire apparel supply chain, making an ideal setting for Apparel's Sourcing Summit.

"In today's global environment, apparel brands, manufacturers and retailers face many different challenges during the lifecycle of an apparel collection," states Roy Shurling, President, Lectra North America. "And the challenges faced today are not necessarily the same as yesterday. As a result, it's imperative to have technology in place that allows companies to bring together the various components of their business in order to gain control over their processes, make better decisions and work in a collaborative environment. As a PLM solution provider dedicated to fashion and apparel, Lectra is committed to creating a value chain where information and transactions are exchanged seamlessly, supporting parallel integration across design, product development and sourcing."

Roy Shurling, President of Lectra North America, will offer the opening comments, while Judy Gnaedig, Director, Strategic Projects Fashion, from the Lectra Headquarters in Paris, France, will speak on The Strategic Use of Technology in Building a World Class Sourcing Organization at 4:10 pm.

Other panelists include Kurt Cavano, Chairman & CEO at TradeCard, Bryan Eshelman, Senior Vice President/Operations at Charminng Shoppes, Nancy Marino, Former EVP/Chief Supply Chain at Gloria Jeans, and Bryan Riviere, Vice President/Head of Global Sourcing and Manufacturing at Lululemon.
