Maple Lake acquires former distributor

Maple Lake, the industry leader in assortment planning and allocation solutions to the retail industry has acquired Satori Planning Pty Ltd, a former distributor of Maple Lake's solutions in Australian and the Pacific Rim.

Maple Lake's solutions are used worldwide by clients such as Levi Strauss, Aeropostale, The Arcadia Group, The Apparel Group, to plan and manage inventory levels and optimize margins.

The agreement incorporates the whole of the Australian and Pacific Rim operations under the Maple Lake Group, and provides the company with global accessibility and round the clock access.

“The acquisition of Satori is of strategic importance to Maple Lake and our customers,” said Mark Stone, CEO – Maple Lake, “Our client base has grown from a North American-centric base to a truly global environment with customers operating planning environments 24/7. The addition of in-house resources in the Southern Hemisphere really strengthens our commitment to both that territory as well as our global customers”.

“The Maple Lake partnership has been a successful one from day one, and this acquisition is a great way for us to improve support for existing clients and simultaneously increase the bandwidth to sign new clients,” commented Chris Fegan, Commercial Director - Satori Planning Pty Ltd.

Maple Lake has been bucking the recent economic downturn, and has continued to delivery double digit growth in revenues year over year. The company remains privately held and now has direct offices in Canada, United Kingdom and Australia.

Maple Lake Ltd. is a software and services provider for specialty retailers worldwide. The company offers QuickAssortment, QuickAllocation and QuickAnalytics, a set of applications that refines assortment management, allocation planning and 'Open To Buy' efforts for maximum sales and profitability.

The company's customers represent 10,000-plus retail locations, including adidas Group, Aeropostale, Arcadia Group, Barneys New York, Columbia, Levi Strauss & Co. and Steve Madden. Maple Lake, a privately-held company formed in July 2000, is based in Markham, Ontario, Canada, with offices in the United Kingdom and Australia. Maple Lake is a certified Microsoft partner.
