Virtuelle unveils AR technology kiosks for fashion fitouts

Fashion has entered a new dimension, mixing reality and fantasy adds another layer, therefore the possibilities are endless.

The webcam social shopper Kiosk from Virtuelle uses Augmented Reality technology to see what an item of clothing may look like on one’s body.

It is fun and innovative. The definition of AR is broad: It’s a blanket term for augmenting the real world with digital information. AR involves a live video feed and it can be controlled by gestures; it sometimes uses facial recognition; and is often in three dimensions.

Compared with other industries, fashion has made considerable advances in AR use. It’s a natural fit. When people view fashion, they tend to imagine themselves wearing the products and AR helps solve that problem.

This Innovative, cutting edge and futuristic technology converts a display interface into a mirror giving users a fun and engaging virtual shopping experience. The use of motions and gestures are used for navigation to try on virtual garments and allows for the adjustment of the garment’s position, colour and size.

It allows users to take and share photo’s with friends and family through social media platforms wearing their favourite virtual garments.
