With omni-channel retail hitting a fever pitch this year as retailers grasp the importance of serving customers however they like to shop, JDA Software congratulates 34 apparel industry customers including American Eagle Outfitters, Chico’s FAS, Inc., Christopher & Banks, PVH Corp. and Stage Stores named to “The Apparel Top 50 for 2014” list.

These 34 JDA customers leverage a wide range of JDA’s powerful solutions to drive omni-channel retailing, including store operations, retail planning and distribution-centric supply chain solution suites. The Apparel Top 50 rankings are based on each company’s annual sales profit margin.

“With empowered consumers taking greater control of their shopping journey, success requires the entire retail ecosystem to be aligned and in sync with the evolving preferences and expectations of the digital consumer”

“This year’s ‘Apparel Top 50’ companies showed themselves to be particularly resilient despite a very challenging year of bad weather, declining traffic and highly promotional environments. To their credit, they pushed forward collectively with strategies for growth as well as measures to better integrate the components of their supply chains — while not losing sight of the crushing need to please the almighty consumer,” said Jordan Speer, editor in chief, Apparel magazine, and the author of the “Top 50” for the past seven years.

“With empowered consumers taking greater control of their shopping journey, success requires the entire retail ecosystem to be aligned and in sync with the evolving preferences and expectations of the digital consumer,” said Wayne Usie, senior vice president of retail, JDA Software. “These Top 50 retailers reengineered their business models to move forward in the new era of retail, and we are pleased to see so many of our customers excelling even in the toughest environment. We applaud them and wish them continued success.”
