3D Systems Corporation, a leading provider of 3-D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, announced the launch of the ProJet HD 3000 3-D Production System, a new, professional, high-definition 3-D Printer, at last week's SolidWorks World 2008.

This 3-D Production System was among the hundreds of new products on display at the San Diego, California, event that attracted more than 4,600 worldwide attendees. Its unique stacking and nesting capability for high-throughput production, direct parts and model castability, and dual-operating modes generated attention from design and engineering experts as well as headlines from the SolidWorks Community and other media outlets.

The ProJet 3-D Production System, available to customers worldwide beginning in March 2008, is a next generation 3-D Printer based on 3D Systems' patented and proprietary Multi-Jet Modeling (MJM) technology. This high-throughput 3-D Printer produces best-in-class part quality and accuracy while providing the choice of both high-definition and ultra high-definition build modes.

Compatible with 3D Systems' VisiJet Materials, it is ideal for a wide range of uses, including concept development, design validation, form and fit analysis, production of molding and casting patterns, direct investment casting of jewelry and other fine feature applications.

This week, 3D Systems plans to display its ProJet 3-D Production System in Booth no. 3513 at the Pacific Design & Manufacturing Show from January 29-31, 2008, in Anaheim, California.
