SAM uses radio frequency - every garment has an RFID chip sewn into it - to track, manage and monitor the precise level of a garment's service and history, making each garment as unique as a fingerprint.

"We're thrilled to open a new facility with the top quality innovation and technology that will allow us to continue providing superior services and products and extend our unmatched commitment to customer service and quality care," said Anthony Coulter, District Manager, Canadian Linen and Uniform Service.

"The capabilities of Toronto Central allow us to serve our valued customers in many ways from a customized uniform program to outfitting their premises, always ensuring that their employees are ready for work."

Located at Toronto's crossroads of highways 400 and 401 on Norfinch Drive, Toronto Central provides Clean Room services to every Canadian Linen customer across Canada, ensuring that garments requiring specialized particle-free care are processed according to stringent guidelines.

Further, Toronto Central is designed to minimize its impact on the environment. For example, the new plant allows Canadian Linen to reduce its water demand on the City of Toronto by 50 per cent.
