McLane Advanced Technologies LLC (MAT), a private company headquartered in Temple, acquired RFID Systems Inc, a logistics and distribution software solutions company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The companies are not disclosing terms of the transaction. However, all business activities will be moved to the Temple MAT location.

RFID provides logistics and distribution software solutions based on “Best in Class Systems” designed to address Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, and Enterprise Resource management through one open and flexible platform. Their focus has been to provide software solutions and methodologies to assist clients with improving the day-to-day operations of their facilities.

“We are all very pleased that our state-of-the-art distribution software products will now be provided and supported by McLane Advanced Technologies (MAT). The McLane organization's outstanding track record in world-wide distribution and logistics and their excellent technical expertise speaks for itself,” said Brian R. Blackmarr, President of RFID Systems, Inc.

“We believe MAT will be able to quickly take our best-of-breed software to the next level and in doing so will significantly upgrade its functionality, support and customer base. We expect our distribution customers to be pleased with the opportunity to work with MAT in continuing to lower their operating costs while improving their operational performance and enhancing their customer service.”

When asked about what their customers can expect from this acquisition, Blackmarr stated, “We have enjoyed the active support of the distribution community and will work closely with MAT to insure a smooth and seamless transition.”

“This acquisition is an example of a strategic initiative to expand MAT's products and services in the logistics and distribution market,” said Chuck Costanza, CEO of McLane Advanced Technologies.

“MAT's strength and corporate legacy has been based on creating technological advances in logistics software systems. We are dedicated to making this a positive transition and look forward to providing support to all the RFID customers and working closely with them in the future to provide further enhancements and additional services.”
