Zweave Inc, the leader in On Demand PLM software for Apparel Retail and Manufacturing organizations is pleased to announce the release of its on-demand PLM solution for Material Suppliers.

“Material Suppliers are engaged very early on in the product lifecycle of manufacturers” says Laura McCann-Ramsey, CEO of Zweave. “With material development at the foundation of product development initiatives, Material Suppliers need the same capabilities as their customers to offer streamlined development, sampling and manufacturing capabilities.

The Zweave Material Supplier Suite is designed to enable Material Suppliers to act on winning strategies even in a down economy. We support materials from fabric to trim and packaging to non textile components like plastics and woods. If it is used in a consumer product we can support its definition and make it available to a Supplier's clients to select for product development, sampling and sourcing”.

“To support our clients we are offering a pre-packaged on demand PLM bundle of the Zdesign Material Supplier Suite which includes software and services” says Mark Mandrano, Zweave's V.P Client Services and Sales. “This package includes portfolio set up and management, material management, tracking, specification, testing, color management, sample and RFP management and web based showrooms for a supplier's clients to collaborate and work in.

Priced for ten users with services and training as part of the package, Material Suppliers can in a matter of weeks change the way they do business. Downturns in the economy do not mean the need to optimize processes goes away. In fact this is the time to differentiate from the competition by offering the right products and the right services. PLM strategies and capabilities for Material Suppliers will not only help ensure survival during difficult market conditions, but will actually help Material Suppliers emerge as market leaders” says Mandrano.
