President and CEO of OptiTex, Ran Machtinger will be a keynote speaker at MCPC 2009 in Helsinki discussing “The virtual tailor”: Mass customization through specialized software.

“OptiTex's success lies in giving retailers the ability to create unique fashion lines for a large audience while decreasing return rates and increasing product to market time,” says Ran Machtinger, President and CEO of OptiTex. “I am excited to share the OptiTex range of online products with the rest of the MCPC conference.”

In his discussion, Mr. Machtinger will explain OptiTex's role in providing the fashion and textile industry with a software that enables mass customization along with web services and a web platform that gives retailers the ability to provide personalized avatars along with the option to mix and match clothes.

Prof. Frank Piller, Co-Founder of the MCPC conference series and head of the program committee, says, “Having an international business leader like OptiTex in the roster of presenters is a clear sign that the event has been accepted by the business community." Piller continues: "OptiTex has played a very important role in the development of mass customization from an early idea to a sustainable business strategy followed by many large corporations around the world.

The OptiTex suite of products is a true enabler of mass customization in the textile industries. We are looking forward to learn from OptiTex's Ran Machtinger about the recent developments and latest best practice experiences."
