Dec '09
A brand new website for Deluxe Boutique, an up and coming fashionable footwear store, launched with the help of Ibex Internet and their new e-commerce platform, Platypus. Platypus was designed in-house by the Kendal based online solutions company as a bespoke e-commerce option for both present and potential online shop owners.

Sarah Burnett, owner of Deluxe Boutique, became one of the first adopters of the Platypus system after she teamed up with Ibex Internet to redesign her existing online shop.

“Utterly impressive,”

she remarked, when asked about her experience with Ibex Internet and Platypus.

Using Web 2.0 technologies, the latest and most innovative e-commerce functionality available is seamlessly integrated into Platypus. This innovative system allows online shop owners to sell at the cutting edge of technology - not only to customers in their own country, but also to customers abroad.

Product and overall shop organisation is improved for Platypus users. Its features include unlimited product categories, an advanced product attributes system, automatic product code generation, an integrated product search feature, related products system for up-selling, and flexible discount system.

Within Platypus, tax rates for specific geographical zones can be configured and shipping and payment options are customisable. Due to its unique stock handling and tracking system, it is easy to interface Platypus with existing EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems. Platypus users also benefit from the built-in search engine optimization features, which include search engine friendly URLs, customisable page titles and meta-tags, and automated sitemap generation.

The staff at Ibex Internet is confident that Platypus is flexible enough to cater to any design requirement put to their design team and would be happy to answer any enquires you may have regarding Platypus.

bekenstockIf you happen to be browsing the new Deluxe Boutique website in the near future, Sarah personally recommends Pretty Ballerinas' Marilyn style animal printed pumps in leopard print, which are a lovely and sophisticated compliment to any outfit. Pretty Ballerinas are worn by a bevy of women celebs, from Kate Moss to Kylie Minogue. Also to come highly recommended for the winter, Ewe boots are made from suede and sheep's wool, and retail for less than half the price of similar Australian wool boots.
