MilkOrSugar launched Custom Shopping Preview beta, the next step in online shopping. Custom Shopping Preview allows visitors to preview customizable products from brands like Nike, Adidas, Trek bikes and Timbuk2 bags.
The beta version of Custom Shopping is available for custom shoes, custom bags and custom bicycles. For these categories, visitors can preview and compare base models, colors, patterns, samples and add-ons available during customization, as well as the configurator interface. This helps visitors to decide where to design and order custom products.
Stefan Hoevenaar, founder of MilkOrSugar: "Custom shopping proofs that a new competitive landscape is emerging in online retail. In a category like shoes, 18 vendors are now competing with custom products, with 11 brands currently on MilkOrSugar. As a buyer or custom designer, where should I go? Do I want more colors, more creative freedom or a lower price? Or do I stick with my brand? What is the role of the brand for custom products?"
In January 2010, MilkOrSugar will add Custom Shopping Previews for dress shirts and hats.
