Island Pacific, a division of 3Q Holdings, advised that the Company had signed an agreement to implement its new and innovative core merchandising software suite, Island Pacific SmartRetail, at YM Inc. (Sales), a North American retailer that sells under the banners Stitches, Sirens, Urban Planet, Siblings, Bluenotes, and Suzy Shier.

Island Pacific SmartRetail is a key product in the suite of 3Q Holdings' wholly owned US and European based subsidiary, Island Pacific. Island Pacific will be implementing several new features included in its SmartRetail suite including a ground breaking Web 2.0 user interface and a powerful rules-based Purchasing system that will deliver significant benefits and cost savings to the YM organization managing Blockouts and Purchase Orders.

A unique feature of Island Pacific's philosophy and a part of the Island Pacific tradition which is exemplified by this implementation is collaboration between a software vendor and its customers. Island Pacific SmartRetail is built using extensible Service Oriented Architecture and Island Pacific is simultaneously implementing its base product while YM is gaining the knowledge to be able to build their own components using this framework.

Davy Rosen, Chief Executive Officer of Island Pacific commented, “We see YM as much more than a valued customer; we see Island Pacific and YM as one team, and we are delighted to be partnering in such an exciting and significant project for both of our companies. The YM contribution of resources and contributions of ideas for the features which result in a better application are appreciated. Using Agile development techniques, we are tracking to an aggressive timeline by which YM will rollout phase one of the implementation by Summer 2011.”

Brooke Miller, Sr. EVP Administration & CIO at YM said, “I have had the pleasure of working with Island Pacific for several years and very much appreciate the honest, straightforward, and down to earth approach that comes through loud and clear with Island Pacific's new, yet old, philosophy for building customer relationships. We feel very confident that we can count on Island Pacific to assist with our continued growth as well as Island Pacific's commitment to supporting us going forward. We also know that Island Pacific values our input and contribution in building this outstanding product which is an intrinsic asset to our strategic planning.”

Island Pacific continues to develop and deploy high value and innovative software solutions that enable retailers to manage the entire scope of their operations and to understand, create, manage, and fulfill consumer demand. These operations include core merchandising, point-of-sale, customer relationship management, vendor relationship management, demand forecasting, planning, replenishment, allocation, promotional and event planning.
