Woodland, the leading outdoor adventure wear brand, has selected SAP to manage its brand portfolio, to boost its planning, manufacturing, warehousing, sourcing, distribution, replenishment processes, modernize retail operations and global supply network.

The company is expected to centralize its operations on the SAP platform, replacing existing systems with the goal of bringing wholesale and retail operations onto a single, vertical platform sharing the same master data, global inventory, and processes.

Woodland, one of India's leading retailers, today announced to have become SAP-enabled for retail solution portfolio. SAP will replace the company's previous in-house system and will be used to manage retail processes at all company locations, from orders and warehouse management to store deliveries.

SAP AFS as a part of solutions suite will enable Woodland to manage its sophisticated supply chains, consisting of international raw materials suppliers and contract manufacturers. It will also provide a fully integrated system to enable a single, common view across orders, products, and inventory, enabling better customer order fulfillment says. It will bring together procuring, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail business operations onto a single platform, according to a press release.

Woodland managing director, Harkirat Singh said, “Woodland is known to have continually innovate ahead of time and now with the use of SAP solutions in our processes, we will be able to lower technology related risks, reduce costs, improve execution quality, thereby accelerate the whole business cycle.”

SAP systems, are fully integrated business real-time systems which enable transactions to be processed end-to-end and eliminate data inconsistencies between sub-systems. They also help in marketing and advertising departments to better collaborate and manage the complexity of planning profitable promotions across multiple channels. (GK)
