Cryscold, the coolest crystal shirt that keeps people cool both on the street and in office, has been unveiled on Kickstarter. The Cryscold Shirt, created especially for hot temperatures, has been developed by a team with more than 30 years of experience in the apparel industry. It uses Mica powder to help dissipate body heat and slow down heat absorption.

With its name derived from the words ‘crystal’ and ‘cold,’ Cryscold Shirt also provides comfort and durability.

“Summer is the time for fun, and to have fun you want to dress well, but extreme heat can present a problem,” said Cryscold co-founder Kwan Wing Yu. “That’s the main reason why we developed Cryscold, which keeps you cool and is also suitable for work and any occasion no matter it is formal or casual.”

To develop its special cooling fabric, Yu said his team spent two years in research until they found the key in China’s Inner Mongolia – a region that’s home to one of the biggest mica mines.

“Mica is a stone with almost perfect cleavage, and we found when its powder is added to a fabric you have found the ‘coolest’ fabric in the world, both literally and metaphorically,” Yu said. “The powder increases the fabric’s surface area on a micro scale, which helps channel heat away, and tests show that it gives you a cool sensation on the skin, up to two degrees lower, and actually dissipates heat to cool you down by up to five degrees in 30 minutes.”

Cryscold’s fabric is also wrinkle-free, quick-to-dry and wearers don’t have to hassle with ironing. Also, by using a different fabric at cooling spots on the shoulders and under the arms, the shirt is super breathable, so the wearer stays comfortable throughout the day.

“We also designed Cryscold so its equally fit as your go-to casual wear,” Yu said. “With a Y-Curve cutting on the back, shoulder packs and stretchable fabric, the shirt will compliment your shape. It straightens your back and covers your bottom to provide a sleeker overall look.”

Additional features include moisture wicking, protection from ultraviolet rays and additional durability – along with a special pocket and side slit.

“With all these special features, people can now wear the most comfortable shirt under the sun and get the coolest feeling possible,” Yu said. “We are determined to create the product not only for our own good, but also for the rest of the office workers. We hope to create the best shirt ever and start a new trend when it comes to shirt design.” (SV)
