Inditex to promote academic exchanges at Chinese college

Inditex will fund grants for students of Tsinghua School of Economics and Management to conduct academic and business exchanges. Under the cooperation, Tsinghua students will visit prominent Spanish business schools, study Inditex's business model and global facilities, meet with other business corporations and experience Spanish culture and way of life.

At the Inditex's headquarters in Spain, the students will also gain practical experience in areas such as fashion retail management, logistics, environmental protection and sustainable development.

The biggest apparel retailer in the world will also offer training programmes to support the professional development of academic staff in scientific research and teacher training, while also promoting cultural activities for students on the Tsinghua campus in Beijing.

After the signing of the agreement, Inditex chairman Pablo Isla gave a speech to Tsinghua students and staff in which he highlighted Inditex's goal of putting social ethics and sustainability at the centre of the company's activity. (AR)
