UK Lingerie Awards to be held in September

The UK Lingerie Awards, 2011, will take place on September 9th at an exclusive, ultra-glamorous, central London location in September.

The glittering ceremony will be attended by 1,000 leading lights from the British lingerie industry, including the biggest brands, gifted young designers, wholesalers, agents, department store and web site buyers, and the best independent and nationwide retailers in the country.

400 of the most senior buying teams, brands, designers and suppliers will be invited to a gala black tie dinner, where they will be wined and dined in 5-star style as they witness the Oscars of the British lingerie industry. They will be joined after dinner by several hundred additional guests for an after party that will celebrate long into the night.

A PR campaign will also make the UK Lingerie Awards a major event for consumer magazines, web sites and newspapers. The combination of the prestigious location, the awards themselves, the glamour of the party and entertainment, and a smattering of celebrity supporters will draw in the consumer press and paparazzi.

This brand new awards ceremony for the UK lingerie community is a long-overdue celebration of the extraordinary talent and hard work by hundreds of professionals that make up this most glamorous industry. Winners and finalists will benefit from year-long recognition for their achievements, and also act as benchmarks that will inspire their peers.

Lingerie Insight is now firmly established as a leading authority on the UK intimate apparel market. The UK Lingerie Awards will benefit from this expertise, and also from a panel of hugely experienced judges from the worlds of lingerie design, retail and academia.
