Vist & Bailo form Officina Italiana to focus on sportswear

The “Officina Italiana”'s operative headquarters (approx. 6000 m2) in Valsugana will manage the Group's production and logistics, while its business and marketing offices and showroom will be in Ora (BZ). The historical Bailo, Vist, and Silvy Tricot brands (this last being wholly-owned by Bailo) will remain commercially independent in order to focus on the technical-qualitative specificities that have distinguished them over the years.

As a result, there will initially be five lines: Teamwear (jointly developed by Bailo and Vist), Vist (top of the range for technical skiing, fashion and leisure), Bailo (for active outdoor sports and freeride skiing), Silvy Tricot (for the ski line and women's fashion), and Tecnico (for bindings and plates).

Bailo, based in Pieve Tesino, was founded by Tullio Zotta Bailo in the 1920s. It is one of Italy's top creators and distributors of innovative, practical, and high-performance clothing and accessories for outdoor sports.

VIST, based in Palude di Caldaro (BZ), was founded in 1997 thanks to the business enthusiasm and technical expertise of Elmar Stimpfl. It specialises in the production of ski plates and bindings, high-performance skis, and technical clothing.
