The Chinese Government has announced establishment of a garment exports base in Jiangsu province of East China.
The garment exports base is among the first group of 59 export bases announced by the Government to help sustain export growth.
The export bases are intended to help entrepreneurs to come together so they can be able to compete better by investing in research and development and improving the quality of their goods meant for export.
The export bases are to be located at a place that either has abundant resources needed for production of some specific items or has a strong industry chain for a particular sector.
The Government will provide subsidies for exports from these bases.
