Korea Fashion Association re-elects Won as chairman

Mr. Won Dae-Yun, Chairman KFA
Won Dae-yun has been re-elected as Chairman of the Korea Fashion Association (KFA) for another four-year term till 2015.
The decision of re-electing Mr. Won, 66, as 11th Chairman of KFA, was unanimously taken by all the 75 member firms of the association during the Board Meeting held at the Textile Centre in Seoul.
Upon his re-appointment, Mr. Won assured KFA members that he would make all efforts to safeguard the rights and interests of the association's member firms and would work for betterment of the fashion industry.
Mr. Won was first elected as Chairman of KFA in 2004. He is acclaimed for successfully administering establishment of the fashion retail and logistics complex in Icheon in Gyeonggi Province.
Besides, the part played by him in lobbying for passage of a fashion industry promotion bill and organizing the Korean Fashion Culture Centennial Awards in 2011 has also been greatly recognized.
Mr. Won was designated as the CEO of Cheil Industries in 1999. From 2002 to 2009, he headed the Samsung Art & Design Institute.
