Promart bags IFA's value fashion retailer of year award

Promart Retail- a discount retail chain and value format brand has been announced as the most admired value fashion retailer of the year in an award ceremony conducted by Images Group. Promart has been announced in the top position in this category beating companies like VMart, Reliance Trendz and Fashion at Big Bazaar. The 13th edition of the Images Fashion Awards was held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai to felicitate the industry titans for their significant contribution towards the industry's growth.

On this occasion, Punit Agarwal, Promoter and CEO said, “We believe this is a great achievement and milestone for the company as we have been growing at a very fast pace. We feel proud on this win and the tribute goes to my team and others who have been involved in this success journey. This motivates us to set new benchmarks and enables to us strive harder to reach the pinnacle of growth and success.”

The IMAGES Fashion Awards (IFA) is recognized as one of India's highest honours for the business of fashion. In their 13th year now, the 2013 edition of the awards recognized the business achievements of India's leading brands and retailers in the country. The awards are decided basis a stringent selection process that follows a nationwide consumer and industry poll and nominations. This is then backed with a performance assessment by a team of analysts and jury.

Promart currently boasts of 53 stores in 11 states and 2 Union Territories across Tier II- Tier VI cities.

As part of the takeover, Apple Group and VEMB got control of the brand’s assets and intellectual property.
