Pantaloon Retail entered into a JV with CapitaLand, Singapore, S-E Asia's largest property developer, with a commitment to invest USD $ 75 million in the Horizon Realty Fund LLC, managed by Ambit Investment Advisory Co Ltd., a subsidiary of PRIL.
Other than this, both the companies have entered into an agreement to set up 50:50 JV's in mall management and fund management services.
In its endeavour for continuous talent creation in the Indian retail sector, the company has allied with Chennai Business School to offer a two year full time Retail Management program.
This is the fourth such tie up after K J Somaiya, Welingkar and IILM. The company has also partnered with Madurai Kamraj University to offer two separate retail based programs and also create a Center of Excellence which will focus at various areas like developing retail management academic programs, research. Consultancy services, etc.
