Awami League (AL) criticised the State Minister for Labour & Employment, Amanullah Aman for his apathy towards just demands of workers.

This remark came after the Parliamentary Committee visited the demolished factories and discussed the issue with factory owners and workers.

Justifying the workers' vandalism, Faruk Khan, AL Parliamentary Committee Member, stated that this was a natural reaction against oppressions carried out by owners.

Khan also added that factory owners were paying low salary irregularly, while hand workers at the other end faced economic hardships in face of inflation.

He mentioned that the demands of workers include increase in wages and other facilities, besides protection from criminals, who extort money from them.

The committee will place these demands of both the owners and workers in next Parliamentary session, Khan informed.
