Long before any celebrity had made an entry in business arena, Jaclyn Smith riding on her fame in "Charlie's Angels" had signed a deal with Kmart clothing line, which was seen by many as a disastrous step.

Tides turned and she is enjoying the success of her deal with Kmart sitting in her store in Hawaii, which has wood furniture, bedding and fabrics.

With annual sales figure reaching $600 million and over 100 million wearing her clothes, she smiles saying that she does not have to reply to any person regarding the choice of her profession.

Recently, she has diversified her business into household goods, including upholstered and wood furniture and fabric as well as rugs, fine-art also in the pipeline.

She teamed up with Largo International of Houston and Hickory Hill Furniture Corp. of Valdese, N.C. when she launched Jaclyn Smith International four years ago.

She has direct interest in designs and marketing of Kmart and she has carried it on to her home furnishing. She is further considering venturing into the cosmetics and jewellery line.
