These days, many brides are opting for nuptials beyond the conventional locations. Whether she dreams of saying "I do" amid a tall, grassy meadow, on a sandy shore, or surrounded by clouds on a high mountain range, destination gowns are quickly becoming a separate entity in the wedding dress category.

"The bride will want to consider the length and style of the gown when selecting a dress for her destination wedding.

The dress can set the tone for the entire occasion, and she wants to look effortless, yet elegant," says Michael Shettel, head designer for Alfred Angelo.

"Today's destination bride is searching for the perfect take-along wedding dress that will travel easily, while reflecting the bride's individual personality and style."

Destination brides can rest assured that they will "get hitched without a hitch" in easy-to-pack and easy-to-wear gowns featured in the 2007 Destiny Collection from Alfred Angelo. This year, trends range from the whimsical baby doll look with an empire waist to gorgeous goddess gowns accented with jeweled straps.

Lace tiers offer a fluid look that will make her appear as if she is floating on air. Hemlines range from above the knee to tea-length to long and flowing styles. Whatever she chooses, the destination bride has endless options to make her look and feel effortlessly beautiful.

The must-have accessory for any bride-to-be is, of course, her beloved bridesmaids. "Bridesmaid dresses have come a long way," says Shettel. "Short dresses are especially popular for weddings on location."

Whatever her final wedding destination, the traveling bride can rely on Alfred Angelo to help her wedding day become a memory she'll always cherish. After all, it's her dress. Her dream. Her destination.

Alfred Angelo is unveiling a sneak peek at their 2007 collection on company website. This fall, you can see even more styles from Alfred Angelo at Alfred Angelo On Tour events throughout the country.
