Paxar to share brand protection insights at AAFA symposium

Paxar Corporation, a global leader providing bar code, RFID and identification technologies for leading apparel manufacturers and the retail supply chain, will share brand protection insights at the American Apparel and Footwear Association's (AAFA) annual symposium taking place tomorrow at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
Paxar is the cornerstone sponsor of this year's forum, themed, "Knock It Off! Brands and the Counterfeiting Quandary."
Counterfeiting presents an enormous burden to enterprises, consumers and law enforcement, resulting in billions of lost dollars to the global economy.
The United States government estimates that counterfeit goods account for about $500 billion in sales each year, or roughly 7 percent of global trade, and specifically cost the United States an estimated $200 billion annually.
Paxar is on the frontlines helping brands combat counterfeiting by providing a comprehensive range of labeling and identification technologies, as well as software systems that offer manufacturers and retailers an integrated approach to monitoring and protecting their brands, and preventing losses.
