Apparel accessories exports to France up 23%

Apparel accessories exports to France reached 2.6 million units in September 2006, pooled in US $2.32 million, raising total exports turnover of these products during the first nine months up to $25.72 million, representing 23.09 percent over same period 2005.

As regard to structure of the exported goods in September, accessories including backpacks, suitcases, bags and hats that were made of plastic or knitting–material accounted for 47.32 percent of the whole revenue, totaled to 2.34 million products for $1.1 million.

Obtaining the second biggest account at 15.34 percent in the structure, sports gloves and leather gloves earned a revenue of 100 pairs, worth $356,195.

Other goods included helmet (exporting 6.38 thousand pieces for $336,250 – making up 14.48 percent); bags and backpack made of fabric ($256,474 – 11 percent); bags, backpack and suitcase made of tanned – leather ($49,000 – 2.11 percent) and the others.

Based on such marketed goods structure at France, industrial experts advised Vietnamese firms exporting the apparel accessories to EU generally and France particularly to focus on the high–value and fashion goods besides continuing exports of medium and low–price goods.
