Clarence Kelley has been promoted to executive vice president of Planning and Allocation, effective Dec. 1, assuming Jeffrey Allison's former position. Kelley will be responsible for directing the development, planning, execution and analysis of strategies that impact sales and profit planning, inventory management, systems applications and financial direction to ensure the right merchandise is in the right place in the right quantities at the right time. Kelley will report directly to Ken Hicks.
Kelley joined JCPenney in 2001 as vice president of planning and allocation his most recent assignment, after 36 years of retail experience with other companies.
