W introduces Spring Collection in style

Mar '07
W, the contemporary women's wear brand, introduced its Spring Collection 2007 in Style at its Gurgaon store. A special preview was organised where models walked down to display the collection at the store and then mingled with people in the DT Mall.

A celebration of the spirit of the new age woman and the values she represents, the event, was a perfect rendition of style coupled with the new age sensibilities of modernity, individuality and fashion awareness as captured in the W Collections. Also marking the re launch of its store at the mall, the event witnessed an overwhelming response from the crowd.

The brief show witnessed the perfect harmony of interesting textures and fabrics with intricate detailing to recreate contemporary styles with inherent traditional inspiration through a wide palette of colours promising to be the best collection of the season. The collection displayed included a complete and vibrant range of wardrobe including Trousers, skirts, tops, Waistcoats, light summer jackets, tops, kurtis, Churidaars and duppattas.

According to Mr. Vijay K Misra, CEO, W “Through the on-ground event we wanted to reach out to the consumer to celebrate with them the spirit of modern women. The models walked with the crowds and showcased them our collection. Women have liked our collection which has modern designs and fits, which are bold, yet Indian.”

The collection included the right mix of Indian and western wear to make it desirable for every woman. With traditional motifs inspired from the rich heritage of Jaipur, traditional batik prints, motifs and dobbies, the collection is an apt amalgamation of classic influences translated into a modern collection to provide women every reason to indulge, rejoice and celebrate.
