Development of strategic activities: As a concrete response to the sector's identified needs, the past three years have also seen the creation of two newly constituted, up and running working committees: “Supply chain” and “Statistical”. Moreover, two additional committees are in the process of being finalised: “Environmental” and “Research and Development” to address the new legal challenges the sporting goods industry will face in the coming years.
Clear success of lobbying actions resulting in concrete return on investment for the sporting good industry. In this respect I would like to salute once more all the efforts carried out and achievements obtained by FESI's Trade and Customs committee in the exclusion of STAF from the antidumping duties.
Moreover the time frame reduction of definitive antidumping duties from 5 to 2 years also represents a clear and tangible return on investment FESI and its members can be proud of. Hopefully, we will be able to keep up the good work for the future and prevent consequently any unjustified trade defence instruments from being applied.
Strengthening FESI's strategic tights with FEPI (Federation of the European Play Industry), which has clearly contributed to the political success of the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry in as much as strategic cross sector synergies have allowed FESI to learn and gather crucial intelligence from different European political initiatives mostly followedby FEPI.”
