Intex – International Apparel Fabrics & Accessories Trade Fair will be held on 10, 11 and 12 October 2005 at the Grand Hyatt Convention Center, Mumbai, India. Intex is a comprehensive sourcing platform and a gateway to the high potential South Asian markets comprising India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mauritius and Nepal among others in the region.
Intex is being organized by Worldex India, a company with over two decades of experience in managing and organizing trade fairs, in association with The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI).
The CMAI is a 40-year-old trade body with more than 17,000 members, representing the apparel industry in India. It organises the National Garment Fair, now in its 46th edition, which is the largest apparel exposition in India. India's top notch manufacturers and exporters of apparel are members of the Association. It also publishes India's leading monthly trade magazine, “Apparel – The Clothiers' Digest”.
In anticipation of the inherent post-quota advantage that India and the entire South Asian region would have, we felt it was critical that a separate specialised international trade event for apparel fabrics and accessories is organised in India. Thus, the decision to hold Intex A/W 2006-07. “Our vast and growing domestic and markets require us to look for new suppliers of innovative fabrics and accessories,” says Mr. Premal Udani, President, CMAI.
