Changshu City to accommodate biggest wholesale trouser market

Changshu City of Jiangsu Province is preparing itself to establish the biggest trouser wholesale market in China with a capital investment of 600 million yuan.
This trouser market will cover an area of 19,500 square meters comprising some 1000 shops.
In November 2007, the China General Chamber of Commerce awarded Changshu City with the title of China Trouser Center. Experts believe that the commencement of this trouser wholesale market would provide a perfect environment for standard management of the local industry.
Additionally, it would also help strengthen the competition of Chinese goods in International market and assist in the overall development of the local trouser industry.
Presently, Changshu City owns over 5000 clothes and support enterprises and boasts of a yearly production value of about 60 billion yuan. The China Changshu Clothes Center is one of the biggest apparel wholesale markets in the country owning some 25,000 shops.
