Overall, there are 6,397 tenants reported in the Fashion Center. In 2007, 273 new tenants were reported, employing 1,049 workers. More than half of the new tenants—159—are fashion-related.
The Fashion Center BID has launched several programs in the areas of streetscape improvements, sanitation and security services, marketing and promotions, economic development, and community service, in an effort to attract new, exciting, and diverse tenants to the neighborhood.
One of its programs in particular, the Fashion Center Kiosk, has garnered several awards and acclaim from New York City officials.
The kiosk, located in the heart of the Fashion Center, is the first all-inclusive, central information resource center serving sourcing information to national and international fashion professionals including press, stylists, photographers, designers, buyers, manufacturers, trading companies in need of information and other industry related resources, services and events.
