British Wool's board appoints Andrew Hogley as CEO

British Wool, a trademark managed by the British Wool marketing board, has announced that its board has appointed Andrew Hogley as their permanent CEO. A graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge and a chartered financial analyst, Hogley worked as an equity research analyst for 16 years prior to becoming director of Wool Sales & Producer Services at British Wool.
 
“Since stepping up to the acting CEO role in November Hogley has done an excellent job driving the business forward and implementing the restructuring plans we announced at the beginning of the year,” Jim Robertson, chairman at British Wool, said in a press release. “The board look forward to working with Hogley, ensuring we continue to represent the best interests of our producers and in maximising the value of their wool.” 
 
“I am honoured to have been appointed to the role and am very much looking forward to leading the business into the new season as we continue to recover from the after effects of the pandemic,” Hogley said.
 
British Wool was formerly known as British Wool Marketing Board, and is owned by approximately 40,000 sheep farmers in the UK. British Wool collects, grades, markets and sells British wool on behalf of its producers to the international wool textile industry for use in flooring, furnishings and apparel.
