Provogue, a popular apparel brand, has recorded, on a standalone basis, a jump in net profit by 17.81 percent to Rs. 334 million for the year ended March 31, 2011 from Rs. 283.5 million during the previous fiscal year. Net sales also jumped to Rs. 5.5 billion from the previous fiscals' Rs. 4.65 billion, showing a rise of 18.26 percent.
However, due to loss in its subsidiary holdings, the company's consolidated net profit works out to Rs. 261.7 million for the year ended March 31, 2011, an increase of 24.67 percent against Rs. 209.9 million for the previous fiscal year. During fiscal 2010-11, the company's net sales increased to Rs. 6.61 billion from Rs. 4.74 billion achieved during the previous fiscal, a sharp increase of nearly 40 percent.
Segment-wise, on a consolidated basis, the company's textile business grossed revenue of Rs 5.86 billion during the fiscal, as against Rs. 4.89 billion in the previous fiscal.
