Indian Institute of Materials Management, the only professional body of Supply Chain executives organized DISHA 2008, an international seminar on synergized supply Chain to drive competitive advantage.
The seminar focused on Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, marked the launch of an International Program on 'Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) & its contribution towards a social cause'.
The program targeted at top executives and professionals aims to enhance executive skills and equip them with the latest strategies and methodologies with all aspects of Supply Chain Management.
While launching the Program Mr. Paul Novak, President - International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), USA opined that “having had success with the program at Institute of Supply Management, Arizona (USA) we are optimistic that the MNC's will take lead from their American counterparts and recommend this course to their company personnel.
IIMM also provided a platform to 'ADAPT – Able Disabled People All Together' (formerly Spastics Society of India) at Disha 2008.
The session on 'Contribution of Industry – towards a cause' was well received where 'APAPT highlighted opportunities and appealed to the industry at large to consider employment for this deserving group.
