Vietnam exported US $82.2 million worth of fabric in first six months of 2006, recorded a 68 percent growth compared with correspondent period last year, General Customs department said.
There was a remarkable change in market structure of Vietnamese fabric during the period.
China climbed to the biggest importing country as the country spent nearly $9 million on importing the goods from Vietnam, representing two–fold revenue of same period 2005.
Ranking at the second place is UAE where exports turnover reached $8.46 million, recording a year–on–year surge of 94 percent.
EU is emerging as the third biggest fabric importing market of Vietnam with sharp growth in Denmark, Italy and England.
Industrial experts forecast that exporting to EU bloc would step up in second half 2006, as Vietnam would sign contracts with this market in the period.
