In April 2006, Vietnam's vest suit exports turnover reached over US $9 million with recorded sales of almost 579,000 suits.
Among all the garment product categories, vests registered highest exporting growth rate with 30 percent over March 2006 and nearly 72 percent year-on-year rise.
The US and the EU remained top markets for these products, accounting for 83 percent of the total exports.
Other markets for the Vietnamese vest suit included Taiwan and Japan where high growth rate is maintained.
Experts opine that the demand for vest suit is bound to rise further.
