10th Certificate Award Ceremony of IIGJ, Mumbai

Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery, Mumbai, held its 10th Certificate Award Ceremony on 19 December, 2007. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Colin P Shah, Managing Director Kama Jewellery India Pvt Ltd.

Also present on the occasion were Shri.Tanvirkumar Chokshi- Chairman – IIGJ, Shri. Vasant Mehta Vice Chairman GJEPC & Director IIGJ, Shri.Amarnath – Member of Advisory Board – IIGJ and Col S.K. Arora-Head of the Institute, Faculty, Staff and Media persons.

Students of various certificate courses viz, Basic Jewellery Designing, Advance Jewellery Designing, Cad-Cam-Ideas, Cad-Cam-Rhino, Diamond Grading, Gemmology and Basic Jewellery making, Retail Sales of Jewellery & Luxury Goods, received their certificates.

Prior to the onset of award Ceremony Internship Presentation was made by Ms. Tejal Trivedi Diploma two student who undertook internship training in Tanishq in Bangalore. She show cased her amazing designs which were highly appreciated by the members and students present during the award ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vasant Mehta Vice Chairman GJEPC and Director IIGJ encouraged the students to work hard and take the industry to the next level of growth as GJEPC has worked hard to set up IIGJ Mumbai.

GJEPC desire is to secure 15% of the world market share in Jewellery. IIGJ has proved to be asset to the Industry and excellent Institute for the students and appropriate place for learning skills.

Similar GJEPC Institutes are coming up in other places like Calcutta, Chennai etc. while Institutes at Delhi, Jaipur will also be called IIGJ to obtain Deemed University under GJEPC. GJEPC endeavour is to give state of the art trained professional to the industry.

Shri Tanvir Kumar Chokshi Chairman IIGJ congratulated students and highlighted that students of IIGJ has more advantages of learning than other institutes.
