Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo is teaming up with Engineered Garments (EG) to launch a special fall/winter (F/W) 2023 collection that blends the distinct style silhouettes of Uniqlo with the technological prowess of EG. The collaborative collection will be available for purchase on Uniqlo’s website and in stores starting November 10, 2023.

The F/W 23 lineup features a fishtail parka, a field jacket, and a bomber. These garments, favourites of EG founder Daiki Suzuki, have been elevated with Uniqlo’s patented Pufftech and Heattech functionalities. These technologies are integrated into the collection’s onion-quilted lining, ensuring superior insulation for the wearer.

Material-wise, the collection continues EG’s tradition of focusing on texture and timeless textiles. For instance, the EG x Uniqlo F/W 23 bomber is crafted from a fuzzy wool blend, while the field jacket is made of a rugged cotton, reminiscent of the militaristic cotton sateen frequently used in EG’s mainline collections.

This new collaboration with EG adds to Uniqlo’s recent partnerships, which include a collection with longtime collaborator JW Anderson and a one-off line with White Mountaineering. These collaborations are in addition to the brand’s perpetual seasonal capsules, masterminded by Uniqlo U’s Christophe Lemaire.

“A preposition for the new section ‘LifeWear’, combining ideas and ethos, from Engineered Garments, who is known for reinterpreting classic American design into a universal representation of modern menswear, come together with Uniqlo’s pursuit in innovation and high-quality clothing,” Uniqlo said in an Instagram post.
