Accessories maker Oakley's Q3 sales soar at $173.4mn

Accessories manufacturer Oakley Inc announced that net sales increased 15.6 percent, net income grew 31.6 percent and earnings per share increased 29.4 percent in its third quarter ended September 30, 2005 compared to the same period in 2004. Net sales grew to a quarterly record $173.4 million compared with $150.0 million in the third quarter of 2004. Net income for the third quarter totaled $15.0 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, compared with net income of $11.4 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, earned in the third quarter of 2004.
