Hermes targets 10% growth in 2006

Hermes International revealed to the media that the company expected a growth of around 7.3 percent for 2006 which is similar to that earned last year.

However, target was set at 10 percent and company is promoting its luxury products aggressively.

Patrick Thomas, CEO, explained that the effects of the retail development will be fully visible by 2007.

He added, "In the coming years, the increase in our production capacity coupled with strong creativity and a reasonable rhythm of new store openings should allow us to achieve growth of around 10 percent on average a year".

Communication spending in 2006 would rise 15 percent to around 90 million euros.

Hermes is one of the leading fashion retailer with exclusive stores in Paris, Korea, Japan, China and the US.
