Latest trend-setting brands at Mervyns this back-to-school season

With many new trends emerging this back-to-school season, from girlie goth and '80s rock glamour to edgy street-urban and updated military-inspired looks, Mervyns makes shopping easy for students of all ages by offering the latest fashions under one roof.
Mervyns selection of basics, such as the latest styles of backpacks, miniskirts and denim, as well as this year's "must-have" fashions, including skull and tattoo motifs, anything camouflage, thick or narrow stripes, multiple layers, tunics and slim-straight leg jeans, makes Mervyns the back-to-school shopping headquarters.

There is a major '70s and '80s revival sweeping back-to-school fashions this year. Leggings, denim mini skirts, dark-rinse denim jeans, stretch belts and the season's new tunic top -- which is shorter than a dress, but lengthier than a long tee -- are all closet staples key to this retro-inspired trend. Like the original fashions of this era, the more layers the better! Girls will be pairing black leggings under mini skirts and layering on foil print screen tees, or wearing longtunics with long beaded rope necklaces and wide waist-cinching belts.
