Net sales soar at Columbus-based branded footwear specialty retailer

DSW Inc reported net sales for the fourteen-week fourth quarter ended February 3, 2007 increased 16% to $329.1 million compared with $283.8 million for the thirteen-week fourth quarter ended January 28, 2006.
On a comparable thirteen-week basis, same store sales increased 1.0% versus an increase of 11.3% for the same period last year.
Net sales for the fifty-three week fiscal year ended February 3, 2007 increased 12% to $1.28 billion compared with $1.14 billion for the fifty-two week fiscal year ended January 28, 2006.
On a comparable 52-week basis, same store sales increased 2.5% versus an increase of 5.4% for the same period last year.
DSW Inc, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, is a leading U.S. branded footwear specialty retailer that offers a wide selection of brand name and designer dress, casual and athletic footwear for women and men. As of February 3, 2007 DSW operated 223 stores in 35 states and supplied footwear to 360 leased locations (30 for related retailers and 330 for non-related retailers) in the United States.
