Comparable store sales decreased 6% for the fiscal month of April, compared to a 15% increase in April, 2006.
Net sales for the thirteen-week fiscal quarter ended April 28, 2007 increased 6% to $348.1 million, compared to $327.2 million reported for the thirteen weeks ended April 29, 2006.
Comparable store sales increased 2% for the fiscal quarter, compared to a 7% increase for the same fiscal quarter last year.
As noted in its March sales release, the Company believes, as a result of the timing shift of Easter, March and April sales results should be combined for a more meaningful comparison of spring selling. Comparable store sales for this combined nine-week period increased 3%.
