As can be seen in the case of leather goods and footwear, there is a steady increase in exports as the sectors have recovered from the lack of competitiveness on world markets during the decade from 1991 - 2001 when exchange control regulations made exporting virtually impossible.
Argentinean companies have been regular exhibitors at APLF for many years - since the fair was launched in 1984 - and APLF looks forward to welcoming Argentina once again to Hong Kong for the 2008 event, thus providing a platform for the marketing and exports of products manufactured from what is arguably the "best quality leather in the world".
