Carine Roitfeld now style advisor at Karl Lagerfeld brand

Carine Roitfeld has been appointed style advisor for the next three seasons at Karl Lagerfeld's namesake label, after the death of the designer this year. Roitfeld worked closely with Lagerfeld, including co-publishing a book and working on the latter’s collaboration with H&M in 2004. Her collection, The Edit By Carine Roitfeld, will be released in September.
Lagerfeld was a German fashion designer, artist, photographer and caricaturist who lived in Paris. He was the creative director of the French fashion house Chanel, a position held from 1983 until his death on February 19 this year.
Roitfeld will work with Hun Kim, Karl Lagerfeld's design director to honour the late designer's vision, according to European media reports.
Roitfeld's first collection in her new role will be for spring/summer 2020. (DS)
