For the autumn/winter 2020/21 season at Panorama Berlin taking place from January 14-16, 2020, Swiss fashion expert Monika Hess is bringing out a new range of premium basic shirts under name Thylie in cooperation with Ragman Textilhandel GmbH. With Thylie, owner of Ragtex Group Jürg Brändli is entering a new business segment of premium ladieswear market.

Thylie shirts are a pleasure to wear and supremely comfortable due to the combination of doubled fronts and the use of the finest Peruvian Pima cotton containing a small amount of elastane. With a variety of sleeve lengths and various necklines, the line stands out with its wide range of models and colours. The cuts and fabrics have been designed precisely with women’s needs in mind: the doubled shirts don’t show through and flatter every figure.

During her many years of experience working for a number of noteworthy textile companies, Hess, a qualified dressmaker and experienced ladieswear buyer, started out in collection development, production and buying roles in the commercial sector, before going on to work at premium brands and developing and producing own labels in the exclusive segment. Since 2014 she has owned a specialist store in the premium sector and can be found on the shop floor every day.

“Thylie is not a fashion label. When developing it I deliberately focused on the essentials. It was important to me to provide excellent quality, high-quality craftsmanship, utmost attention to detail and a variety of styles that enables every woman to find her favourite shirt,” said Hess.

In keeping with Ragman’s philosophy, Thylie also sees sustainability as a number one priority. Across the entire production chain – from the raw material to the packaging – the production is carried out as resource-efficiently as possible. The high-quality Pima cotton used to make Thylie shirts is durable and more environmentally friendly to produce than conventional cotton. And every production step is 100 per cent carried out in Peru.

Ragman company, which was established in 1980 , is one of Europe’s leading knitwear suppliers.
