An exhibition of the legendary Nizam's jewellery is to take place at the Salarjung Museum in the city, in the first week of January. This would involve unprecedented security cover for the safe guarding of the precious treasure.
It will be another opportunity for the public to feast their eyes on over Rs 16,000 crores worth Nizam's jewellery. It was brought from Mumbai, last Saturday and kept in the museum under tight security.
Museum officials said 254 pieces of jewellery, including valuable gold ingots, necklaces, earrings, arm bands, bracelets along with the famous rare Jacobs diamond would be kept in the exhibition.
