Short listed by the Lakmé Fashion Week Advisory board, Aneeth Arora presented her collections for the Berlin Calling show at Lakmé fashion Week Winter/Festive 2011.

This initiative supported by IMG Reliance and IMG Fashion teams will see Indian representation at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week – Berlin - Autumn Winter 2012 in January. The platform will not only support the selected designer in presenting the runway show but will also ensure that the opportunity is leveraged effectively in representing India internationally.

With her label Pero which means “to wear” in Marwari, Aneeth Arora has created a name for herself with her Indian textile innovations which are transformed into western silhouettes. Giving importance to the skill of the Indian weaver, Aneeth has revived the fabrics from different regions of India for her trade mark layered creations that have acquired global acceptance.

Effortlessly stylish garments for Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2011 were once again trend setters in their own genre; as a variety of creations intermingled seamlessly on the ramp with Aneeth's clever designing touches.

Blending the masculine and feminine silhouettes to achieve an androgynous look, Aneeth worked with her favourite khadi, Kota, doria, Chanderi, linen and wool for the multi layered look. The colours selected moved from peach, lilac, wine, ash, brick, rose and military green for the comfortable line of sheer elegant shirts, structured trousers and jackets, interesting jumpsuits, shrugs and overcoats.

An expert at layering several garments Aneeth opened the show with a cotton, crochet baniyan added on a Khadi skirt, a Chanderi shirt and jamdani scarf all in shades of grey. She scored further with her peach Maheshwar striped shirt, the peach cotton checked cropped trousers, and the grey harem pants. Adding a variety in fabrics, it was the grey knitted pullover, the striped silk linen jacket, the military green panelled halter dress, the pleated pants and the military green multi panelled dress that were great additions.

Here was a truly ideal mix and match collection that could move with the times anywhere around the globe, with it timeless styling from Aneeth Arora.
